Mathieu Compiègne

PhD Physics, Research & Developement

Mathieu's main activities concern atmospheric radiative transfer and passive remote sensing. He has a solid background in developing physically based algorithm and data processing. He gained good communication skills through his experience as a teacher at University and conference oral presentations.

He recently led a project on prototyping an algorithm for the retrieval of cloud top pressure from OA-band with the future instrument METimage (EPS-SG). He also worked (i) on the production of synthetical data set for 3MI and METimage EPS-SG instruments and (ii) on a study about the potential of 3MI cross-calibration on METimage.

He is strongly involved in GPU based Monte-Carlo radiative transfer code development. He is also very involved in the development of the ARTDECO radiative transfer suite (http://www.icare.univ-lille1.fr/projects/artdeco)
