Service<\/a> delivers global maps identifying areas affected by fire at a spatial resolution of 300 metres. The <a href=\"https:\/\/land.copernicus.eu\/en\/products\/vegetation\/burnt-area-v4-daily-300m\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>version 4.0 of daily burnt areas<\/strong><\/a> (BA) products, is available within 24 hours after satellite acquisition, has been recently released. In the context of its <a href=\"https:\/\/hygeos.com\/en\/project\/continental_ecosystems_monitoring\/\">land monitoring activities<\/a>, HYGEOS has coordinated the work between <a href=\"https:\/\/complutig.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Complutig<\/a>, the Spanish company that has set-up the Burnt Areas retrieval methodology, and <a href=\"https:\/\/remotesensing.vito.be\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">VITO<\/a> that operates the processing chain.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-builder-row fusion-builder-row-inner fusion-row fusion-flex-align-items-flex-start fusion-flex-content-wrap\" style=\"width:102% !important;max-width:102% !important;margin-left: calc(-2% \/ 2 );margin-right: calc(-2% \/ 2 );\"><div class=\"fusion-layout-column fusion_builder_column_inner fusion-builder-nested-column-2 fusion_builder_column_inner_1_2 1_2 fusion-flex-column\" style=\"--awb-bg-size:cover;--awb-width-large:50%;--awb-margin-top-large:0px;--awb-spacing-right-large:1.96%;--awb-margin-bottom-large:0px;--awb-spacing-left-large:1.96%;--awb-width-medium:50%;--awb-order-medium:0;--awb-spacing-right-medium:1.96%;--awb-spacing-left-medium:1.96%;--awb-width-small:100%;--awb-order-small:0;--awb-spacing-right-small:0.98%;--awb-spacing-left-small:0.98%;\"><div class=\"fusion-column-wrapper fusion-column-has-shadow fusion-flex-justify-content-flex-start fusion-content-layout-column\"><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-2\" style=\"--awb-content-alignment:justify;--awb-margin-top:50px;\"><p>The daily BA v4.0 provides the date of burnt but also the <strong>pixel burnt fraction<\/strong>, an information not provided by other existing burnt areas products. As such, CLMS BA v4.0 offer <strong>unique information<\/strong> to monitor the extent of burn scars and track the impact of wildfire on ecosystems. It is complemented by the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/land.copernicus.eu\/en\/products\/vegetation\/burnt-area-v4-monthly-300m\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">monthly Burnt Areas version 4.0<\/a><\/strong> product covering the period from July 2018 to today. Daily and Monthly products have passed an exhaustive validation procedure performed according to the international standard and using <strong>independent <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.21950\/BBQQU7\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>reference dataset<\/strong><\/a>.
