CAMEO General Assembly, 14 – 15 May 2024, Bonn

The Horizon Europe project CAMS Service evolution (CAMEO) held its general assembly in Bonn (Germany) on 14th – 15th of May 2024. Three HYGEOS scientists, Samuel Remy, Thierry Elias and Mustapha Moulana, have attended and presented their work and results on deposition uncertainty and estimates of uncertainty through ensemble methods. Indeed, in CAMEO, HYGEOS is experimenting with an ensemble approach for global atmospheric composition forecasts, in order to characterize and quantify the uncertainty associated with the CAMS forecasts. The aim is also to quantify the propagation of the uncertainties in the initial conditions, meteorology, emissions, etc.  into the total uncertainty of the CAMS forecasts.
