HYGEOS contributed to the CAMEO General Assembly

The CAMEO project has the objective of enhancing the quality and efficiency of the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (CAMS) and help CAMS to better respond to policy needs such as air pollutant and greenhouse gases monitoring. To this end, CAMEO is helping to prepare CAMS for the uptake of upcoming satellite data, advance the data assimilation and inversion capacity of the global and regional CAMS production systems and develop methods to provide novel uncertainty estimates for CAMS products.

The CAMEO online General Assembly took place on 12th – 13th May 2025. Nearly 70 CAMEO scientists participated to the meeting. HYGEOS contributions from Mustapha Moulana, Thierry Elias and Samuel Rémy focused on the uncertainty of CAMS deposition products and an ensemble approach to estimate the uncertainty of CAMS products. A lively and fruitful discussion followed the presentations.
